Josh Howard - Director of Coaching, Norski SC | USSF D Licensed Coach

I'm Josh Howard & I've been coaching soccer for over 10 years, working with players at all levels. Currently I serve as the Director of Coaching at Norski SC, where I am committed to fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment for our players. This role is especially meaningful to me as I have four children who have also participated in the NSC program, making the experience both personal and fulfilling. 

In addition to my role at Norski SC, I contribute to the local High School program as the Varsity Assistant Coach for the Boys Soccer Team & the Head Coach of the Girls Soccer Team. Soccer is not just a sport to me; it is a way of life. I am passionate about helping each player reach their full potential, both on & off the field, while encouraging teamwork, resilience, & a lifelong love of the game. 

For me, soccer is mor than just a game - it's a powerful tool for personal growth, teamwork, and community building. I believe in creating a positive & inclusive environment where players can develop their skills, confidence, & character. Every player is unique & I strive to provide individualized guidance to help them unlock their full potential. My coaching approach emphasizes technical development & mental resilience, helping athletes embrace challenges & learn from setbacks. 

Coaching is a true passion of mine. There's nothing more rewarding than being a part of a player's journey & watching them grow, both as athletes & individuals. I take pride in fostering a love for the game & instilling values of teamwork & sportsmanship that extend beyond the field. Ultimately, my goal is to help players become not just better soccer players, but also compassionate, responsible members of their communities. Through soccer, we can build lasting connections, create unforgettable memories, & develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives. 

 

 

 

 

Victor Castillo - Assistant Director of Coaching, Norski SC | USSF D Licensed Coach

My name is Victor Castillo. I'm a USSF D Licensed Coach with 6 years of experience coaching players at all levels. I have been working with Norski SC for 3 years. I'm currently the Assistant Director of Coaching as well as a Club Coach. My love for the game began at a very young age, playing in many leagues around Central Wisconsin. I also played futsal and indoor leagues that allowed me to grow as a player. 

As a coach, I'm a huge believer in putting players first. Creating a positive environment where players feel safe & can further develop their skills. I believe soccer is a great tool to educate and prepare children for their lives. I believe it is not about the winning and losing, but rather the learning and development process. I enjoying seeing athletes having fun while still understating the discipline & focus of what the ultimate goal is: improvement.
