Norski SC & DHS Soccer Program Partnership

Norski SC partners with the Deforest High School Soccer Programs (Boys in the Falls & Girls in the Spring) to provide Ball Chasers for all Home Varsity Games.

What are Ball Chasers?

• Volunteers who retrieve balls that go out of play and return them to the game
• Usually stand on either side of the field

When a ball goes out of bounds, a ball chaser's responsibilities include:

• Making eye contact with the nearest player
• Tossing the player a new ball to restart the game
• Chasing down the ball that went out of play
• Work together to exchange balls if multiple balls go out of play in the same area

Expectations of Ball Chasers:

• Dress appropriately for the weather - they will be standing by the field throughout the entire game
• Go to their assigned area & hold their ball during the game. Please do not bounce balls on the track - this can scuff them up
